Our double room was cozy and rather big with TV and huge shower space. The hotel is situated in 10 minutes walk from city center on very calm street. They have lift and decent stairs. There is a food supermarket just 1 minute from the hotel's door. Nice hotel for weekends' trip.
Nice beds and warm rooms. The interior of the rooms are very cool as well.
Not very friendly staff. No mini-bar or freezer. No trashcan in the room. The handle in the shower was broken. Expensive breakfast. No free wi-fi and very expensive to pay for.
The staff and the location of the Hotel De Looier are the best parts of the hotel. It is near the Leidseplein, and therefore not far from anywhere in the City. The staff were very nice and the desk is 24 hours. Maybe an odd note, but they had toiletries in the room! That was a welcome surprise.
This is definitely a backpacker or budget hotel. The walls are paperthin, the floors are, too.
Hotel accommodation is excellent. To walk to the central square of the city will take no more than 10 minutes. Friendly staff to help organize trips to excursions, and from the airport, etc.
The room is very small. Bathroom too small. Two people is unreal to be in the bathroom at the same time. But if the purpose of the trip - excursions, then it does not matter much.
The location, very close to all the action.
We booked an extra night, and when we came back from town the following afternoon we were 'told' we would be moving to a new room. No apologies, just told to hurry and bring the key back.
LOcation is great, for the rest I would give a 2 stars
The location was good in walking distance to Leidseplein.
Smaller rooms, it's good for a short stay. I wouldn't reccomend it for longer ones.
Cozy old fashioned hotel, great location and very service minded staff!
Cleanlyness of room (bathroom in particular) was not up to standard.
Pretty well located, though not in very centre. Has bike rental at hotel
Excessively priced, poor value for money, though it may be related to shortage of rooms during IBC conference - raised prices? Breakfast a bit poor.
It's good balance between price and quality. Good location and pretty quite place. About only 15 minutes walk to dam. Willingly will stay in the hotel my next visit in Amsterdam.
Comfortable beds and thick curtains. Helpful staff. Location. The price we paid was much lower than the normal price. I wouldn't pay the normal price as its quite basic.
The hotel is a little shabby particularly in the hallways. Other guests were noisy at night.
Actually, I only like the location. The hotel is near everything but the street is very silent.
Staff is rude and not welcoming. They didn't anything to make things easier. Feels like they are doing you a favor hosting.
Free Wi-Fi, the room is ok.
Bathroom needs renovation. Overpriced.
Very clean, simple rooms but nicely done. Comfortable beds. New linens.
Room smelled really bad, convinced there was a toilet hidden behind a partitioned wall!
